pure coincidental or just good marketing mix

I've been having my eye on 2 things, a new phone and a new laptop. It's something that i need and now has turns into something that i want. A MACBOOK Black & *BLACKBERRY Pearl *(Temporarily till the iphone is released here) :D. I could just get any 'common' phone and laptop that u can easily see people use. BUT, I've got a fairly unique sense of taste when it comes to buying gadgets, i go for good functionality, quality, style and uniqueness. And recently i found those things that i own and wish to own, featured on 'National Treasures book of secrets' as part of the gadgets they use in the movie. Now, was that just pure coincidental or just good marketing mix? Anyway, to my opinion the movie was great. Good story-line and the usual cliche ending.
